Application to

HOST A SECONDEE

About the Needs and Readiness Assessment

This assessment is part of the host application process for the Ulare Secondment Program. It is designed to support your organisation or agency to reflect on your readiness to host a secondee and help us understand where you may benefit from guidance or additional preparation before a placement begins.

This is a self-assessment. There are no pass or fail thresholds. Our role is to work with you to determine whether now is the right time for a placement, and if so, how we can best set it up for success.

Your responses are confidential. This information is reviewed by the MTL Consulting Services team and is not shared with any other parties, including OCPSE or other South Australian Government agencies.

Responses will be reviewed by the MTL Consulting Services team. Where a question indicates that further conversation would be useful, we will reach out to discuss this with you directly.

Responses may also be used to support placement matching, onboarding planning, program reporting and identification of any additional support requirements.

Completion of this assessment does not guarantee placement participation or matching. Placement opportunities are dependent on factors including participant availability, organisational readiness, placement suitability, intake timing and alignment between host organisations, secondees and program priorities.

For the purpose of this assessment, the term host organisation refers to all participating host types, including South Australian Government agencies, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and other Aboriginal community-controlled organisations governed and operated by Aboriginal communities.

The Ulare Secondment Program supports reciprocal placements between South Australian Government agencies and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), alongside other Aboriginal community-controlled organisations governed and operated by Aboriginal communities. This assessment applies to all participating host organisations, regardless of whether you are hosting a public sector secondee within your organisation or hosting an employee from an ACCO within a South Australian Government agency.
